Red lacquered box with Japanese paper collage top The box itself is a cigar box from the local smoke shop; its red paint is original. The top has been covered by a collage of red-dominant Japanese chiyogami papers patched with sewing-machine-made feather stitches in gold thread. The entire top piece is edged with German gold scrap border pieces. Inside, the natural wood not stamped with the cigar company's name has been left natural; the inside bottom and lid where the name was stamped into the wood has been covered with a matching Japanese paper (not collaged or sewn). Origami Boxes
		Made from reinforced paper, these boxes have a heavy cardboard bottom and lid and are quite strong. They measure 3" square on the bottom, and the opening is 3" square at the top rotated 45°. The lid is 3.5" and has a decorative bead in coordinating colors or design. Many of the beads are hand-made lampwork beads from various bead artists. Price: $15

Small Triangular Favor Boxes - The "Purse" Box
		These little boxes measure about 2 3/4" on the bottom and sides and have a flap that closes them with a Velcro™ dot. When a ribbon "handle" is attached at the sides of the top, the little box resembles a purse. The handle of the purse can be embellished with a coordinating charm on a ring, or the box can be made without the charm. We have many colors and textures available in these boxes. Please email us if you would like one and give us suggestions as to color or pattern. Price without a charm: $5, or $6 with charm

Metallic papers and "jewels"



Ribboned triangular boxes (the "purse" box without the handle)
		Made the same way as the purse boxes, these are tied with ribbon. The folded-over flap can be cut rounded, as shown in the top picture on the left, or cut pointed or straight across. There is a nearly limitless choice in papers and ribbons for these boxes, from patterns to plain, shiny, or irridescent. With the popularity of scrapbooking, stores have cardstock in every imaginable color and design. Please write and give us your ideas. Prices vary with the cost of the papers and ribbons and for a large order would be less if the paper and ribbon could be purchased in bulk amounts. $4 to $5.
